Homemade cranberry sauce is the best with any meat. I’ve been living in North America more than 10 years now and falling love with all the foods, sauce and everything 😉 Cranberry sauce is the one of my favorite. It’s very easy to make, fresh, and yummy with everything. Sometimes I eat with my ice cream. It’s so good….
This is the recipe I’ve been using for long time now. About 12 years ago one of my old friend gave me cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving Day. And that was very delicious still remember that taste. Ever since I’m thinking about to have my own recipe. So about 7 years ago I made this recipe. I don’t like to put so many things in my sauce. That is why it’s very simple recipe. Please enjoy 😉
Ingredients:
- 1 package (12 oz) ocean fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 orange zest
Directions:
- Place the cranberries in bowl and rinse them. Pick out and discard any damaged or bruised cranberries.
- In a medium sized saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice and water. About 5,6 minutes.
- Stir in the cranberries and cook until cranberries start to pop. about 7,8 minutes. Stir in zest then cool. Remove from heat and place sauce in a bowl. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
Enjoy 😉
