Spider web eggs.

Hello  Everyone.

Today I am presenting my Spider web egg recipe. This is a kind of deviled egg but coloured.

This recipe is very suitable for an Easter dinner, summer picnic potlucks and Halloween. I have been known to devour a dozen of these in one sitting. Deviled eggs are easy to make and are always a hit at gatherings. To make them extra pretty, just pipe the egg yolk mayonnaise filling with a star-tipped piping bag.

What follows is a basic recipe, though there are so many wonderful variations you can make. You can choose any colour you want and flavour in many different ways for your egg yolk. I hope you will enjoy my recipe and decorate your party table with it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika or cayenne pepper
  • 2 stalks of green onion
  • 1 stick parsley or coriander
  • pinch of sugar
  • food colours

To mаke:

1. Boil your eggs in salted water

2. Break the eggshells with a spoon but don’t peel them off

3. In a bowl, mix your food colouring with water  (colour and contract up to you). Each colour requires a different bowl.

4. Put cracked eggs in the colouring bowl and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. (make sure all the eggs should be covered in the coloured water)

5. After colouring is done. Peel the eggs and cut them in half. Separate the egg yolks

6. Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter.

7. Using an electric mixer or fork, mash up the yolks. Add mayonnaise, onion,  avocado and a sprinkling of salt, pepper and cayenne pepper while mixing. Add more mayonnaise as necessary to get the creamy consistency you want.

8. Pipe through a piping bag (star tip) or simply use a spoon to put the egg yolk mixture into the coloured egg white halves.

Enjoy 😉
