Baked Asparagus with Parmesan

This has to be one of the easiest ways to cook asparagus. Just trim the ends, lay out on a foil-lined baking sheet, toss with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper, your favorite seasoning, and Parmesan, and then bake until done. I eat them like French fries. It’s so good 😉

They’re a perfect side to any meal or you can eat them as an appetizer…

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 3  tablespoon  Olive Oil
  • 3-4 tablespoons Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salad herb seasoningDSC_0237

Directions:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Wash and break or cut off the woody ends of the asparagus spears.

  • Lay them in a single layer on a sheet pan.

  • In a small bowl whisk the oil with salt, pepper, and salad herb seasoning.

  • Now coat the asparagus with the olive oil mixture.  Sprinkle with 1 tbsp parmesan.  Bake for about 7,8 minutes. Then again sprinkle with 1 tbsp parmesan and bake for 5,6 more minutes.  Then plate the cooked asparagus and sprinkle with the last 1 tbsp parmesan cheese.
